Hose Identification please

Featured Replies

Hiya, great forum you have here and I enjoy reading all the threads ever since getting my mark ii Fabia.

I have a slight smell of petrol coming into the cabin and think I have found the source of the leak.  I can feel a very slight split in a hose going to the engine but would like confirmation that this is a fuel line.  I have attached a photo with me pointing to the hose in question., the tape is where I think the split is.

If it is this hose then I assume it is a simple removal of the clips on either end  and replace the hose.  Not really worked on a Fabia engine before, Iam

thank you for any help.

yes that is a fuel hose.

There is a quick release coupler just below the rubber "anti chafe" collar (see it in piccy) , the engine end is obviously a standard factory quick clip.

What engine is it ?

Had to replace this on a friends car, dealer wanted £56 for part nut managed to find a part on skodaparts.com but had to mail  them with chassis number first in enquires, came back with a price of  £26 but had to pay £10 delivery but still cheaper than dealer and fitted perfectly

Hiya, thank you for your replies.  It is the Monte Carlo 1.2 102bhp engine.  Is it just a standard piece of fuel hose that I can pick up anywhere or is it a specific Fabia hose?

thank you

Hi Lee. My son has bought a Fabia 1.2 Monte Carlo and he is having the same issue. Did your hose change solve the petrol smell problem?
