Says it will bring it up to 259bhp safely? Anyone have experience good or bad with these tuning boxes,

Plenty threads in the Performance Section.

If you own the car you are just get a Remap and declare with your insurer and void the warranty on the engine.

There is no advantage in going for a tuning box as some people think, such as being able to remove it and no trace etc.

I had a DTUK box some years ago for my (at the time) diesel vRS, main reason was I could remove it.. which worked out important!!  It was fine, definitely more power, however...... I took the car to the Alps in the Summer (2015) it was a 6 month old car and all was fine until it got really hot outside, I pulled in for lunch and when i pulled back out the car was in limp mode... It was in and out of limp mode for the rest of the journey. Got there and ripped the box out, car was absolutely fine, never had another issue with the car. So personally i wouldn't touch one with a barge pole, however if you do, make sure you declare it on your insurance because it will invalidate your insurance if you have a crash!
