Rear passenger window has a life of its own

Featured Replies

Hi guys and greetings from a sunny Sweden!

Last year mid January I bought myself a great little hatchback, a Skoda fabia vrs on a bargain. The previous owner was afraid that the cave engine was to implode on him.

I however got another problem with it. The rear passenger window is spooky. I have done the rewiring in the driver door , soldered and strengthened, and all cables are intact. I however can’t seem to control the rear passenger window from the driver door.

Ones in 10 starts, when I turn the ignition on, the rear window opens automatically. I can only close it using the elevator on the rear passenger door. It drives me nuts. The fuses are good.

I hope I posted this in the correct forum. This is my first post. I have been reading up on other topics but could not find a specific answer to my question.

Would be delighted to see if any of you have a solution for this.

Thanks again!

Might get better response posting in the appropriate Fabia forum here

Cheers! I’ll try the fabia specific forum instead.
