Hi everyone

Just wondering what maintenance intervals are in regards of 6 speed manual transmission on my vehicle. 

Anyone able to provide some clarification on the exact mileage / how many months between changes and type of oil my gearbox require?

I have dig through erwin and only found details of regards automatic transmissions in maintenance tables - which is a bit odd unless my transmission is maintenance free?

My vehicle details as fallows:

Škoda Octavia III Combi RS

2.0 TSI 162kw / 230PS, CHHA engine, SQZ gearbox 

The model year 2018, production number 277999

The entered VIN is TMBKE7NE4J0277999

Pretty sure it's a 'sealed for life' gearbox so requires no maintenance.

 

If you're doing mega miles and planning to keep it for many years, it might be worth doing but otherwise I wouldn't touch it 👍

Well, it is for certain values of "maintenance free". As long as there's a drain and a fill bung, I'd change the oil every 80_000 miles or so (or if it's a 2 hour job, get a local garage to do it. The not getting covered in used transmission oil is worth £100).
