Mk 2 2008 passenger door lock

Featured Replies

Hi ,

Looking for some help please.

Had to replace my front passenger door , (damaged , handle broke).

So purchased a replacement , in same colour from ebay.

But...

Fits perfect , everything works , windows , speakers , door opens but it will not lock .

Seems I purchased a 2010 model door .

You can hear the central locking motor click clack , and is confirmed to be working .

So was the wiring revised and is it as simple as rewiring??

I can't transfer everything from the old door as handle was broken , window mech didn't work

Any help would be fantastic .

You could try swapping over the wiring harness and lock from your old door. It's also worth comparing the pinouts and wire colours for the lock connection to see if they're different.

There's a couple of differences  , I look at swapping a couple to same positions as old one
