Superb vs Kodiaq Depreciation

Close to ordering Superb 190 SEL.  However, suddenly got thinking about depreciation when comparing this model to a like for like (as much as you can) Kodiaq SEL.

Getting a better all round discount on the new Superb, plus list price is less anyway spec for spec.   Both under 40K lux tax threshold with options.

Trying to predict the future's obviously tricky, I'm getting depreciation data from fleet news, but looking on auto trader/approved used Skoda, the loss on 3 year old cars doesn't seem too bad - but we are in strange market times.

Probably keep the car 3 to 5 years.

I guess it all comes out in the wash, but do folks think the lesser depreciation on the Kodiaq would save quite a bit overall and is it worth the higher initial cost?
