Best roof bars/roof box combi?

Can anyone point me in the direction of a set of roof bars and mid-range roof box? Only occassional use (for extra camping kit), say 75 or 100kg, 450 to 500-ish litres and light enough to mount by myself.

I started looking at reviews online and fell down several rabbit holes. Or do I just go to Halfords? (evil grin!).

Have a 2015 Superb Estate L&K...

The thule bars of which Halfords are the same will allow the sunroof to operate still when fitted.

I have Halford bars and a norauto (French Halfords kind of place) top box and its a good combo. St Moritz Swiss to Taunton UK and back without issue. Quite quiet too (and these are not the aero bars, just standard ones). Pic below.

Car is 2013 Skoda Octavia Mk3 1.4 TSI (CHPA), manual, 118k km driven. Today I noticed an A/C-related droning/humming noise that seems louder than before, but I'm having trouble pinpointing the source. Symptoms: Only occurs when A/C is on. Noise stops immediately when I press the A/C button off (cabin fan still on), Most noticeable at idle and especially after revving the engine and letting RPM drop back to idle. Above roughly 1500 rpm I can't really hear it. Cooling performance is excellen

I have owned my Karoq 140TSI Sportline for a few months now, and there is only one thing that bugs me. I travel on motorways a lot in Australia, where we drive on the left side of the road. When I am driving in the left or middle lane with the ACC operational, I notice that the ACC will match the speed of the vehicle in the next lane over (either the middle or the rightmost). Hi, I have a '2025 Kodiaq purchased March this year. Car first registered last May and was a Skoda vehicle and had covered approx 5000 miles when I bought it. It's been fine all this time except yesterday when I turned the engine off one or more fans continued to run - and they sounded like they were running at top speed. Hello All, I recently purchased a 2018 Skoda Kodiaq style Diesel. After about a month of purchase while driving in traffic the vehicle gave intermittent jerks a few times and this stopped. Later after another kilometer or so the Glow plugs and ESC error code started flashing followed by a park assist code. Reverse camera stopped working. The idle RPM went up from 900 to 1200 RPM. However the codes went away and the RPM was back to 900 after stopping and restarting the engine. The mechanic did
