Radio Presets Question

Featured Replies

I've had my new car since January but one thing still puzzles me about the way that the Favourites setting works on the mark 4. I've selected various radio stations multiple times saved them as favourites and it kind of works for a few weeks and then I'll try to change from one station to another from my saved Favourites and end up retuning the selected station to whichever station is currently playing. That never, ever happened with my mark 3 Octavia but has happened multiple times recently with this car. I usually end up deleting all the stations and retuning them again to get it back to where I want it to be. It was trying to sort this out recently that led to the car turning off the Infotainment System itself, resulting in much confusion as to how to turn it on again!

The other thing that doesn't seem to work is the ability to read phone numbers from my iPhone and select some of them as favourites too. That seemed to work pretty easily with the mark 3 but not at all with this car, car and phone are paired with bluetooth. I can receive calls when I am driving the car but obviously can't make any calls because of this.

About phone numbers. At least in my case, phone sometimes ask again to allow car to access phonebook. I dont know is this a android bug or not, but taht permission sometimes resets and i have to allow it again.

tbh I haven't tried to get my head around the favourite radio stations as I usually use voice control to change stations. Line of least resistance (for me anyway).

With you iPhone, have you set up CarPlay? If so, then it can't sync phone numbers as well as it will be a different (second) Bluetooth connection). Incoming calls can be answered easily enough (through CarPlay); and to make a call, use Siri.

Not sure if that answers your questions or not, but hopefully some help.
