Well well, what’s all this about then?

Featured Replies

recently I have been getting software update messages. One on Friday and another today.

The Friday update seemed to complete OK. I was sat outside the hairdressers waiting for the missus.

I also got this…

Any ideas?

I believe you can set up Skoda Connect so that the car will contact your chosen dealer when it needs a service, and the dealer will then contact you to agree a date. If you have done this, perhaps your chosen dealer has closed down?

That’s what you might think, but no.

Yesterday I contacted SUK Via the chat feature.

The operator (who may have been in an Asian country) didn’t know the answer, and suggested I speak to their ‘digital support team’ for whom she provided a number.

On contacting them, they had no idea either, despite me reminding them that they were the so called digital support them.

They then connected me to my dealer, where I spoke to someone who didn’t know the answer either, but at least he confirmed that there didn’t appear to be anything adverse on the system and if the problem persists they would investigate when the car goes in for its first service in September.

So there you have it, a random message that no-one can explain and appears to have no material effect!

Skoda / VW Customer Services.

Anywhere, anytime, it could be Leeds, if it was in the Far East maybe someone would know about the tech.

When I bought my Karoq, the MIB2 system had just been replaced by the MIB3 version. I also got referred to Technical Support, who told me they hadn't been advised or trained on the new system, and had to go to a local dealers to see one in action!
