Aux for stream mp3

Featured Replies

Hello guys. First of all sorry for my english.I want to put an aux input for a stream mp3 player, i dont have the jumbo box or how its his name. What cable do i need?

You will need to buy a CD Emulator to aux adapter, which will plug into the 12 pin connector on the back of the head unit. I bought a used Stream MP3 head unit to replace my non-MP3 one, and the seller included this adapter.

I got some annoying audio feedback (buzzing, crackling), even when I had it properly grounded. I removed it any now use on of those Bluetooth FM transmitters that you plug into the 12V socket, and the audio isn't as high quality as CD but much better than that aux adapter.

It is very easy to use, just plug in the Bluetooth FM transmitter, connect your phone and tune your radio to the FM frequency.

I too replaced a non-MP3 head Unit with a MP3 Stream.  I bought a cable from the internet that had a 3.5mm jack plug and pins on the other end. I had to push these pins into the connector block in the loom behind the HU. I also had to swap one of the original pin positions for the Grounding otherwise I would have got the buzzing.  I really cannot remember which pin it was but I found the info on here. It was about 12 years back now.  This meant I could keep the multi-changer in the boot and have MP3 disks in the HU and a an AUX input.  I drilled a hole in the box on top of the dashboard and fed the jack plug through that so I could rest the MP3 player in that.

Here, try this link. It shows the pins that need connecting:
