DayTime Running headlamps Fabia Mk1 2002 1.4 hatchback

Featured Replies

Dear All,

Has anyone ever successfully fitted, or had them professionally done, installed headlamps with integrated day time running lights, as opposed to just installing LED’s somewhere else on the car?
Thank you

They were a factory option apparently. Download one of the wiring diagram documents (CFDs) from here:

Search the word 'day' within the doc and you'll see how they are wired up in original form.

No interest personally, not a fan of lighting mods.

Can confirm. That these were an option, based on this booklet I have, should be on the third page. :)

If / when you get them fitted, please remember DRL = daytime running lights and you need to switch your headlights on come nighttime.

The number of idiots on the road at night with just the DRL’s on is astounding. :wall:

Thank you all for the advice and information

Didn't know about this as a "factory option"....appears that it is a wiring kit & a relay & basically allows the existing beams in the front headlight to come on automatically when the ignition is switched on..

More info in a thread here & photos of the above mentioned Skoda kit.
