TPMS problem on 2014 Greenline

Featured Replies

Since I changed tyres I seem to have an issue with the TPMS warning light coming on from time to time.

I have repeatedly set pressures (2.5/2.4 bar as per the fuel cap label) and reset the system correctly so I'm wondering if there might be a system fault.

Can anybody tell me whether the TPMS on this model is indirect or direct?

Welcome.

You have to stick with the Robert the Bruce Spider way first, try try and try again.

Pressures as you want them cold, set the TPMS and run the car and hopefully the circumference is logged and the system is the one with the ABS / Sensors used and no Sensor Valves on the wheels.

It can take a few times occasionally.

Remember it is not always a loss of pressure / tyre circumference that triggers the warning.

A binding brake or bearing overheating can cause a wheel to get hot and the tyre to expand.

So if you get a warning check that a wheel centre is not too hot as well as checking the tyre pressures when the tyres are cold again.

Thanks that's very helpful. I'll keep at it whilst sitting in my cave!
