Skoda Fabia MKIII- rough idle after the service

Featured Replies

SKODA FABIA (2017) started slightly rough idling on start and then it goes away after driving a bit. It started after the service was done last month at 25000 KM. The service included oil change, brake oil change, air filter, cabin filter and oil filter. There is no warning light on the dashboard yet. I have noticed a start stop function failed once or twice but after restarting the car and driving for a while, start stop error went away as well. This rough idle concerns me. Is it a serious problem? Any advice would be appreciated.

Ask the people that did the service what they have done wrong if your car was fine and they did a simple service and then it is not fine.

You do not say if a Petrol or a Diesel,

So is it a TSI, MPI or a TDI?

Did whoever doing the service maybe do a software update?  Ask them.

Is it this:-

Thanks, AG Falco

^^^ It certainly should not be that.

It is ridiculous if a car does not do that and the driver does not experience that and then it gets a 'Minor Service', so an Oil & Filter / Inspection service and then does behave like that.

If the spark plugs have been touched, the coils, a software update done then maybe, but not just an Oil & Filter service.

It's just the symptoms fit, with the warmer weather, and people tend to notice things after a service.
