Hello looking for advise please.

Just bought a 2014 skoda superb 1.6 auto diesel elegance, the engine cover is missing so i'm trying to find the part number so i can a second hand one, bought one from a scrap man online after giving my reg number told it would fit, arrived this morning & no it doesn't fit the one they sent had 4 of the push fit half round lugs, my engine only has two of these push fits.

Knowing the engine code would help lots here.

Would this be the code underneath the car engine/gearbox pls ?

you will find it on a sticker on the B panel at door check Drivers side
This is a pic of a left hand drive but you get the idea

Something like CFFB and its also written sideways top to bottom

That's the engine number; it should also be quoted in your V5(A); the one you're looking for is 3 or 4 letters, such as "CACA".

^^^ That is  really just (TDI)  CR  S-A  (Semi Automatic)

I will have to wait till the full V5 comes to me then, this is the only bit on the small V5C/2

I have never in my day seen that sticker removed 
Are you defo looking at drivers side😕

Yes the drivers side one has been removed, i don't know why but it's gone.
