2011 Skoda Octavia VRS side lights not working

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I'm looking for some help on my side lights. My car failed its NCT with the sidelights not working. I replaced the bulbs but still wouldnt work. I brought to my mechanic and he traced the wiring and told me they are not connected. The LED's on the front act as the sidelights. Has anyone encountered this issue before and if so is there a document that I can show the NCT that they are not supposed to be on.

I've moved this to the Mk2 section as presumably that is what the car is?

As for your dilemma, why not show them that the DRL sidelights dim when activated as they obviously don't know what to look for!

Do you have a picture of the headlight type as many use the LED strip as the sidelight and have a redundant bulb in there.

Would we be correct that the car has Xenon headlights?

Following on from my earlier answer too - is it a vRS?

Yeah it's a 2011 vrs 2011.

Got it sorted today. Had to make a complaint to the NCT  customer service and give detailed explanation on how the lights work.

It's an absolute joke.

Cheers for all the advices
