Bumper guard/protector for Black Yeti

Featured Replies

Hi there. Can anyone advise on what would go best with a Yeti in Black Magic (colour coded too).

Looking at the RGM range but unsure whether Black or Carbon or whether Chrome would look better!

Thank you

That's something only you can decide on to your taste.
How about helicopter tape, transparent, or are you hiding up scratches?

Yes unfortunately need to cover a few marks hence clear tape probably wouldn't suffice.

Can't help you regarding looks, that is not the reason I chose a bumper protector.

I have the cheapest rubber universal protector from Ali-Express, not even a self adhesive one, I glued it with contact adhesive after carefully setting out and masking the area to be covered taking into account pre-stretching the rubber so it was applied from the middle outwards.

Performance wise it is perfect, it looks fine to my eyes and has not moved or detached in nearly 3 years which is more than I can say for the expensive self adhesive rigid one my neighbour used.

I have an RGM Rearguard in black which matches the other black trims on my brown yeti.

Installed in 2016, hasn't moved and lives outdoors with an occasional wipe over with black cherry blossom.

Highly recommended.

We has the RGM stainless steel version (very tough) worked well, but ours was Moon White.

What about Superskoda, excellent quality, had one fitted to mine for 8 years now, I did have to replace the double sided tape of the original, used very thin number plate tape to reattach!!

Black to match the door trims.
