Energy Blue or Race Blue

Featured Replies

Hello, should be picking up my 21 plate SE First Edition this Saturday, trying to ignore all the issues on here and keep excited lol. Anyway, the dealer has it down as energy Blue but I'm not sure it is, I know photos are never great for true colour representation, but what do you guys think?

It looks to be metallic so if it is it is not Energy Blue.

That's what I thought, thanks 👍

Looks like my race blue vRS.

Thanks all, glad the dealer didn't notice, maybe because it's a Renault shop, they'd have most likely added more on. Has the spare in the boot too. 👍

When you get it check the software version, if it 1896 you should be good to go... If not worth getting as it should fix any issues that may crop up. Enjoy it, it looks great.

Thanks, it has the Swing head unit and digital dash, not sure the Swing had the same issues, I could be wrong. My fear is they won't have a clue what I'm on about because it's a Renault dealership.

@johnmcb

?

Where did they get the car from, a trade in or an auction. one that escaped the Skoda Main Dealers!

Has the Renault Dealership got a Print Out of the Cars History, PDI / Registration and any Service or Service Campaign Actions?

?

Is the car still on a Variable / Flexible service regime as it left the factory, so 24 months / 18,000 - 20,000 miles.

or

maybe changed at the PDI to a fixed service interval , 9,400 miles / 12 months (372 days maybe).?

It kind of matters, as in if a service is due, or done or not needed until 2023.

They assured me it has been serviced but good question, it's a big dealer up here in Scotland so I assumed they know about VAG servicing, but definitely worth asking thanks!

It only has 3700miles on the clock and is £19,995 so seems like a ok deal to me 👍

Cheers

OK.

Spill the beans, i know the Dealership groups.   All operate much the same.   (a Big disappointment IMO is 'Motorchoice' owned by John Clark Group.)

Not the Renault Dealership in Linwood that is an Arnold Clark that seems unable to speak to the Arnold Clark Skoda Dealerships?

(Edit, they have gone, i see 3 other AC Renaults in Glasgow now.)

????????????

What Servicing would an Ex Demonstrator with 3,700 needed, unless on a Fixed Service Regime, so an Oil Service & Inspection,

so a VHC maybe, maybe no oil and filter change, just an oil top up.

This needs to be showing on the Skoda / VW System to keep up a FSH / Full Service History, or a FMDSH, Full Main Dealer Service History.

They never bought it without a Service History, they checked it.

Haha it's Parks Motor Group Renault/Kia in East Kilbride. I think they have a Skoda branch in Hamilton?

Fine.  No surprise then.

Parks Skoda Hamilton do not even know that much about Skoda's.

That is years after 'Gordon is a Moron moved on' from walking the floor telling customers guff..

Read the reviews'.

Strange one they put the car to the Renault Dealership and it is not a 'Skoda Approved Used Car'.   But many things are strange with PARK's.

*I am not a fan boy, they might be less incompetent now,but i doubt it.*

Maybe avoid for any servicing.

Who would you recommend, I've used Henry's Glasgow North in the past, they seemed fine. Was hoping to maybe purchase a service plan with them.

Do not overpay for a service plan.

Not much needed at 2 years, an Oil & Inspection service and pollen filter.

Same at 3 years with extended scope but no pollen filter.

Henry's seem to have been improved recently.

Things change as you see with the Park's review.  But then staff move about.   Often the least knowledgeable are on the Service Desk, including the Service & Workshop manager.

You hope the Master Tech is present in the workshop and trained and trains there stuff.  All the luck of the draw.

Enjoy the car.

Check the tyre pressures, see what they were set at.   Adjust and rest the TPMS if needs must. Reset the TPMS even if the pressures are fine,

Look at the coolant level when collected.

Dip the Oil before you start the car. See where it is cold.

When home dip it at Operating Temp, parked on the flat after a few minutes.  As per Owners Manual.  Then you know the Oil level now.
