Got a 1.4tdi.. Friend has hooked it up to his Solus Legend machine (got dpf problems). 

 

It communicates to all modules except ECU. 

 

Car runs and starts fine except excessive dpf regenerations and white smoke. 

 

No warning lights at all. 

 

Any tips please to work out why the ECU won't talk to machine.  Thank you. 

Have you tried another scan tool?

Tried my cheapo one first.. It doesn't like it at all.. My friend's one is one of those big expensive snap on one.. It connects to all other modules but won't  communicate with ecu at all

That was my only idea, other than perhaps drawing attention to your thread to those that might know.

 

Now we wait.
