Smart Link USB socket not working

Featured Replies

My Karoq Apple Car Play is not working and it appears to be a problem with the USB Socket. This diagnosis confirmed by Skoda Dealer. I am quoted £117 for a replacement (which I assume is part of the hardware and not just a socket. I am prepared to pay this but can anyone tell me how to remove the existing socket from the centre console? I am reasonably competent with electronics and I am confident I could fit the replacement bit but is it possible to get the existing one out without dismembering the whole console? Any advice very gratefully received.

The Karoq has a 67 plate and the Smart link has just one USB socket with the 12v socket just forward of it.
