I've failed to find the answer to this, probably because I have not yet looked in the right place.

Is the suspension ,all the components ,tougher on the Kamiq compared with the Fabia Scala or Octavia, so more likely to survive the potholes.

I look on the Kamiq as a mini off-roader.

Not even a Soft Roader let alone an off-roader.    It is tyres and wheels that first need to survive potholes.
