VRS Rear Light Clusters

Featured Replies

Looking at replacing the rear lamps in my car with the facelift items.

From what I can see I have to remove the hard plastic trim from the boot, both the centre section and the vertical items either side to get at the nuts on the lamp housings.

Does anyone know how you get the upright plastic trims off, do they just unclip when the centre section has been removed?

Also looking to fit a 12v power outlet in the boot, are there any suitable power take offs in the boot already or do I need to run one from the battery?

Thanks for any help.

I think you can access the bolts at each corner without removing those tough bits of trim. Move the carpet from behind it and push to one side, and I found there was enough room to get in there (with a socket fitting, on an extension bit about 4" long)

Its not - filler pipe still to hook up, and I snapped the boost guage fitting on the inlet manifold too, so need a new one as the lpg regulator is boost controlled. Hopefully if I get the fitting and the pipe hooked up, by the end of this week it might be running. :)

You will have to lose the plastic trim to save breaking anything. Alos makes the process a whole lot quicker!!

I have two facelift rears for sale still if anyone wants them. The original buyer on here never paid up.
