Skoda Felicia ECU overdo spraying

Featured Replies

Friendly advice to anyone who wants to buy a used ECU: if you are not car programmer or have high knoledge in car's electronics DO NOT buy ''second hand'' ECU units especially from internet.

If the seller does not provide you some sort of warranty (some give up to 6 months) don't buy them just because the image looks right, many of them have problems inside the chips-plate, seal with cracks etc or outside as pins broken or with corrosion.

Here we have an example of the opposite, the previous owner sprayed the plugs too much for protection (storage).

So this means more work for the new owner to clean this mess and who knows of what's happening inside the unit.

Since the risk is huge let the ''expert'' do the job and take the responsibility.
