Help with VAG Com Faults

Featured Replies

Hi all.

Just taken VAG-COM out for a shareware spin to see if i can find anything wrong with the car before i start out on a long drive.

It's come back with the following:

17957 P1549 Boost Pressure Contr.Valve Short to Ground

16485 P0101 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circ Range/Performance

These i understand and the MAF has been replaced.

However, i've also got the following:

16485 P1570 Contr.Module Locked

17946 P1538 Engine Shutoff Solenoid Open/Short to Ground

18008 P1600 Power Supply (B+) Terminal 15 Low Voltage

which make very little sense to me,

Scanning the ABS module kicked up something about ECU Intermittant Communications, which i didn't like the look off, but cleared the fault without saving the log, stupid me.

I can only think that the 3 above, plus the ABS fault could be linked to a Relay 109 failure, which i have recently replaced.

Any ideas?

I've cleared all the faults now, so if they return i'll at least have an idea of "just wtf is going on now?" :S

Cheers!

Has your car had a chip tune? If the chipping company dont run vagcom after it can leave the intermitent ECU communication fault

I hope not - i've just bought the car and there was no record of it having been chipped.

How do i found out if it has?
