Rear Stun Axle compatibility

Featured Replies

Hi, looking for info on what stub axle will fit a Fabia VRS what models in VW group share the same one as a Fabia, I have an idea that polo's and Ibiza's may be the same but if they use drum brakes will the stub axle be the same, thanks

Apologies for spelling on the title

I know the rear beam is the same for drum and disc brakes on the MK1 Fabia. The drum brake models have the unused holes for rear calipers.

Only thing I'm unsure about is if it uses drums rather than discs would the stub axle be different only reason I'm asking is that one on the car is bent 🫤 and having a hard time trying to get another one, Skoda here want 280 euro for one and there isn't a alot for breaking here in Ireland except for 9n3 polo's but they all have drum brakes on the rear

Anything that uses part number 6Q0501117, which is same for all Mk1 Fabia, all 9N/9N3 Polo and a host of others.  See the 61 page compatibility listing here for example: Febi Rear Wheel Stub Axle Suspension Transmission Genuine OE Quality Replacement | eBay

How did it get bent, that must've been quite a knock? :crying:

Handling ought to improve once sorted!

Didn't realise stub axles were the same for drum and disc cars.

Are the wheel bearings the same also?

Look to be, item 15 on same page, just the one part number for all.

Very interesting!

I have everything for a pair of 232mm rear discs except for handbrake cables and brake pipes. Rear brakes on my mk1 are still lacking, and it's been in my head to put rear discs on it.

Whether I pull my finger out and do it is another story :D
