Towbars and parking sensors

Featured Replies

Hi, wondering if anyone with a towbar on their mk 3 fabia can tell me whether it triggers the parking sensors? I hear you can usually get away with a fixed swan neck towbar without problems on other cars, but most seem to have the parking sensors offset… Fabia’s is right in the middle! Thanks

I've got Fabia MK3 And a fixed towbar and all is fine.

Thanks, that’s reassuring - seems Skoda put more thought into the sensors than I initially assumed!

Depends if you have dedicated wiring or not. As long as you have a dedicated tow bar wiring and module and its set up correctly it will disable the parking sensors when connected.

My sensors work perfectly with the tow bar on. Just remember when you are reversing with sensors on your tow bar sticks out a little. So don't go to far past the final warning tone.

I’m looking to get a tow bar fitted to my 2018 Monte Carlo.  Is there a genuine Skoda to one or best to go with just one of the main towbar manufacturers?

ANyone want to share a rough idea of cost? I’ve been quoted a price of  anywhere between £500 and £600 which seems a bit steep?

could anyone post a photo of the towbar installed so I can see how large the cut out is required in the rear bumper?
