P2000

Featured Replies

Hi I have a 2017 Superb Executive estate. I bought the car in April and had issues with the regeneration light coming on even though I was doing high motorway miles, this issue was sorted. After a month the EML would come on with codes P2000 and P2002. The car has been in my local Skoda dealer twice who wee pretty useless and then in a reputable garage twice. I think the P2002 code has been sorted but I’m still getting the P2000 - NOx trap efficiency below threshold even though the model I have doesn’t have a NOx sensor so I’m not sure how this fault can be fixed.

the car drives perfect and I have done 14k miles since I bought the car.
has anyone else had this issue?

Welcome to the forum, what's the actual current car mileage?

What scan tools if any do you have to hand?

Hi, current mileage is 82500. I have a cheap code scanner but car has had full diagnostic recently too

You can search on google or on the site for P2000 / P2002 and will show a fair few results (not always fully answered/fixed)

It might be an idea to locate someone with VCDS for example and get some live data scans done, in particular read out Soot measured/calulated and Oil Ash volume values.

Get some live data logged from the car on a drive if possible.

Thanks for replying. I’ve had a look on Google at the P2000 code but what none of us can get our heads around is the car doesn’t have that part so just unsure why the code is coming up

Do you know your engine code from your V5/sticker in the boot.

Most likely to be 4 characters, example CUSA

Well at least you can put to bed the notion you don't have a NOx sensor, as your car does (after turbo)

Part number has been replaced, (not that I am saying to fit anything at this stage at all)

So ideally you need to locate someone with scanner so you can read in some measurements now and begin the diagnosis process.

So it does have a nox sensor? Both Skoda and the garage I have taken it to have said it doesn’t

I did realise that the image was for LHD, but I shall try to look again in a moment at the parts fitting.

The only way to tell 100% in part's program is using a VIN or PR codes.

So yes, once more it is possible that it is indeed fitted to your car, as seen here in RHD image (sorry about the LHD from earlier)

Taken from the Workshop Manual, might be worth trying to locate it

I am not saying you do have this part on your car, just that it might be there.
