Your assumption seems correct to me.

It doesnt mean it was sold with a fault, it simply could of failed after you got the car. Id speak to them and get to do a fairly straight forward repair on it. As long as thats the only issue of course.

I purchased the car Friday and speaking to a friend from Friday night earlier today he said that he noticed there were no lights in the boot when he went to put some things in there as it was pitch black but didn't give it a 2nd thought. I think its fairly logical to believe the fault was present at the time of purchase in this particular case albeit my word versus theirs.

SC50 is a nice little red herring

Is this saying that slot F50 should have a 30A in the slot?

It will only have a fuse if that equipment is fitted, that's for electric tailgate

Edit: Fuse 50 as assigned in the owner manual equates to SC50 as it is written in wiring diagrams, and yes a 30Amp fuse would be fitted if applicable for clarity.

Thought I'd post an update on this issue. Took it to the dealership earlier this week and they confirmed that a new boot latch is required which is on order. I'm now waiting for that part to arrive before taking my car in for the part to be fitted. This will likely be several weeks again so they'll be no further updates until then.

Gawd these dealers (and so many other businesses) are useless…. The “C19 backlog” is all done and dusted but it’s still the standard excuse 14 months on. I bet we still hear it being used for another 5 years.
