Central locking module location query on 2010 MK2 fabia

Featured Replies

Hello,

I saw that someone had previously changed their 5J0959433 module for a 5J0959433A which enable them to use a remote for the central locking and was trying to replicate that.

However I cannot find where the module love on my 2010 RHD fabia. I don't want to rummage around incase I knock something loose. Can anyone give me a solid spot for where it would be. Have attached some pictures of what I have been able to see so far.

In the Fabia guides section there is a guide for changing the aircon evaporator temperature sensor. Find it and read. To get to that sensor you have to remove, or at least move the CCM  it's up above clutch pedal on RHD cars.

I tried to follow this guide but not sure if it fully applies for the mark 2.

Do you know if any other posts with guides?

I suspect the position of the module is very similar, but see if UrbanPanzer's info makes more sense than mine. It should do, but the diagram doesn't look awesomely clear to me.

from looking at the picture from the workshop manual procedure I posted, it should be easy to "atleast" see the module above the brake pedal.

Sorry about my above post that was an accident.

So I have managed to find the module like you said above the clutch. I want to follow this guide but a few steps have links to other parts. Where can I find the guide you've quoted from?

The guide is the official procedure from the workshop manual.

these are the "links" you refer to.....

the dash panel is just the trim panel under the dash, which I would assume you have had off already.

Next is the footwell vent, the text / procedure refers to a LHD vehicle, RHD would be opposite, this is basically the footwell vent to gain better access to the CCM (also in picture)

Lastly is the brake pedal switch.
