Static on apple carplay

Featured Replies

Hello, I have a 2019 fabia SE and my apple carplay has issues where it has static and music jumps all the time.

Does anyone know how to update the system? It's going into skoda tomorrow but might be worth a go

I have heard of this issue reported by someone for their apple doing this, can you get your version information up and report back?

Hold down Menu key usually a few seconds, you are looking for Software Train, I can at least verifiy if there's an update for software probably.

You have MU 8740 version, exists MU 8755

You have two choices: 1. Visit Skoda tomorrow, and pay for update (if they even apply fix!)  2. I can send file over and you apply yourself at your own choice and fix = free potentially.

Can you send me the file? I'm not giving anymore money to them than I have too

Hahahaha I don't blame you, gimme less than 5mins, meanwhile format an SD Card if you have to FAT32 or exFAT if needed.

Have you seen and verified your Software Train in the engineering menu?

@varooom no I haven’t, I’ll go do that first

Brilliant, best to verify before I send wrong file 😉

How do you get to software train? Not sure where the “menu key” Is

I am seeing software 8740 though in system info

Found it, on 8740

If you scroll up, you will see image of the Software Train.

Anyhow, to save you running in/out again I will send what it most likely is.

Hi Hopefully someone can help me with this too! Fabia has recently started to do the exact same issue so I was wondering if anyone could point me to the correct firmware update. Im not sure why they are not just released by Skoda to be honest!

Currently on:
Carplay: 210.82
Hardware: 690
Software (MU Version): 8740
Installed  Software Version: MEN2_EU_SKGPx_P7381L

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help

Hi, who can help me with the version MEN2_EU_SKGPX_P7381L, please I need a download link.

Hi There,

I have a skoda Fabia 2019 that could also use the update to 8755. Could I please get a copy?

@varooom I’ve just purchased an 18 plate fabia, the CarPlay is so crackly and skips the music a second every minute or so! Thought it was the cable, but from reading think it may need an update. This is what my software update says?

Hi, welcome.

vrooom's not visited the site since 27 August 2023 (place your cursor on the green shout link in your post or on the posting name plate).

Others may be able to help you though (not me I've no idea).
