Help please - rear offside door handle

Featured Replies

So I went to open the rear off side door this morning to deposit my daughter in teh car ready for my other half to drop at nursery when the handle pulled off in my hand and the little bit that normally stay put pinged off into the drive.
Please see images attached.
So I looked up a few youtube s and they were on Octavia and Yetis, but the handles looked similar. It seems I need to remove a gromit from the side of the door to push a clip behind the handle after pushing it all back in, but I wanted to know, is it rally that easy, or do I need to find some wire/device to clip in as well to make the handle actaully open the door? I don't quite get how it all works.

Cheers.

PS the rain is not helping, would have preferred this to happen yesterday.

Dealer managed to fit me in today and just clipped it back on, for free!

Cheers for looking.
