Installing aftermarket 1din stereo

Featured Replies

Hi y'all. I just got an aftermarket Android stereo for my 2014 Octavia and I've had some trouble finding a mounting solution for it. It just won't fit in the frame. The OEM stereo has these metal brackets that makes sure it stays in place, but the aftermarket one doesn't. I'm not sure if I can remove them and attach them to the new unit or if I need to but some stuff for it. I've been googling but I can't find a solution for my exact model, especially since 2din seems to be the more common one.

First picture is the OEM stereo, second one is the aftermarket.

This is how the frame looks inside. I've never seen one like this before. Usually they have screws and holes to mount the stereo.
