Blackvue dashcam app

I'd been faffing with the car and disconnected the rear dashcam, so for the first time in ages fired up the app to make the camera worked after I'd finished. No way would it connect to the app. The app is up to date, I can connect to the WiFi from the camera on the phone, but the app won't then find the camera. 

I have a third party app that allows you to view the recordings (the rear camera still works) but it doesn't allow you to adjust any settings. 

Anyone else have any issues/tips?
