The car has generated a fault code that It thinks is important enough to tell you about. You can use VAG-COM To see what the problem is, or if that's unavaliable your dealer will be able to help you. As for what has caused it it could be lots of things, anything from Air con to Things in the engine that have big names:P

You could try looking for a thread entitled VAG-COM map where those of us with the equipment have offered our services to people in the locality, someone may be able to help you.

First off check your brake lights, blown bulbs or a faulty switch will cause the EPC (Electronic Power Control) light to come on, as the system relies on a signal from the brake light switch.
