Tyre pressure sticker missing

Featured Replies

I hope someone can help. My Skoda Superb 2019 68 plate has the tyre pressure sticker missing. I’ve looked everywhere!  The warning light is on saying loss of pressure detected. What should the pressure be?

Tyres are 235/45 R18 98Y

More info on the tyres

Welcome, do you know which engine you have (should be printed on V5, usually 4 characters)

There are several pages of possible pressures determined by with engine you have and main trim/options.

4x4 affects pressures

PHEV engine

Petrol/Diesel

Greenline

Inside the fuel filler flap? Also, I think the wheel width may have a bearing on tyre pressure.

Important is, when was the TPMS last set.  By whom. ?? How long ago even.  ...   So when the tyres are at the set pressure you want,  set the TPMS then occasionally when checking the tyre pressures or adjusting them to suit use you reset the TPMS.

Not sure about the engine. V5 has a lot of numbers!  It’s a petrol automatic SE L Executive TSI. Cylinder capacity 1498

It’s not in the fuel cap. I really have looked everywhere.

I guess when I had new tyres put on

So a 1.5 TSI / DSG.     Best not guess what someone sets your pressures at and then take loved and cherished ones out in your car.  Check tyre pressures.  Now that you will know what they should be at.

Does that give me an answer on how to find out the pressure?

I’m obviously clueless but how do these numbers translate into what needs to go on the psi machine?

If the link that was posted does not show you someone can tell you now hopefully.

Grab your V5, and try to locate Engine detail on it.

Usually will be 4 letters for your car (modern) with some numbers after it.

CEGA12345 for example where CEGA is your engine code

EDIT: Probably won't need the Engine code as there is only 1 entry for 1.5ltr petrol

We might need a VIN to decide which of the PR codes applies to you

PRCode: H1U = Tires 235/45 R18 94W

1.5/110 kW TSI

Half load = Front 250/2.5 (36PSI) Rear 250/2.5 (36PSI)

Full load = Front 250/2.5 (36PSI) Rear 330- 3.3 (48PSI)

PRCode: J96 = Suspension range 96

1.5/110 kW TSI

Half load = Front 220- 2.2 (32PSI) Rear 230- 2.3 (33PSI)

Full load = Front 250- 2.5 (36PSI) Rear 330- 3.3 (48PSI)

3rd row in the pic below is for the 235/45 R18 tyres.

Just for clarity, there are 2 lists... one is for EU countries as I have posted.

They also list all others separately.

If your motor is the same as mine (1.5 DSG) and you are on 18" wheels as I am, then the pressures are:

Unladen  F36/R36 (PSI)

Laden F36/R47 (PSI)

Thank you everyone. I happened to drive near a dealership this afternoon and the technicians were really helpful. Should be 36 and they checked them all for me. And yes the sticker is definitely missing!

@Sarah42mcDid the Technician reset the TPMS or did you, so know how to do it now.

This was formerly true. But on Mk3, pressure recommendations only depend on rim diameter and loading (3 levels: Normal / Eco / ‘Heavy’ loaded).
