Looking for more info on adaptive cruise control

 

Were there software updates to it over the years?

Can I see what version I have?

Is it an off the shelf system that other cars use like Bosch etc.?

Is mk4 smarter than mk3?

 

Love it on my MY16 but wonder if newer models would be smarter. i.e. if I'm doing 100 and come up on a car doing 80 it will slow to 70 then speed up to 80 to match the car in front. And I find it should be quicker to brake in traffic jams.

Have you got the distance set to the closest or minimum?

 

Mine is imperceptible at furthest distance the deceleration to match vehicle in front is hardly noticeable even if it s a truck
