According to numerous Youtube videos I should be able to view the 'Function Enabling Codes' by pressing the Menu button on the MIB for approx 10 secs and entering 'Service Mode'.

Once in Service Mode I only get the option to view 'Software Updates' & 'HMI Codes'.

Any idea if there is another route I can take to see the FECs?

You need "Developer" mode enabling on your unit

 

You will need to bring up 5F entertainment and login with security access (VCDS will assist, could be S12345)
Then you can enter Adaptations and find Developer (has something like this in the name) and change it's status to enabled.

Save and exit.

Ignition off and on just to be sure

 

Enter your normal hidden engineering menu on your system, and this time when you see 'Software Updates' & 'HMI Codes' keep holding menu button a bit longer and you will see the new menu show
