2014 Superb Estate 2.0TDI Rear offside Seat Buckle Failed P/no.3T0857496

Featured Replies

Hi,

the rear offside seat belt buckle on my 2014 Superb estate has failed. There is nothing jammed inside the unit. So I need to replace it.

There's no compatible items available on that famous online auction site and searching online for vehicle breakers, hasn't turned up the correct part, or even just searching online using that part number. I am looking on  Gumtree for any Superb's of the same era that are being broken.

However I just wondered if anyone knew is this was a generic part common to the hatch version of the B6 (3T) Superb please ?

Alternatively does anyone know if it common to the Mk.2 Octavia hatch or estate, or the B6 or B7 Passat, or any other models that are built on the same platform.

I was surprised to see it a had Skoda emblem moulded in to it, I was expecting to see a generic VAG symbol and therefore a generic VAG p/no.

Thank you in advance.

You're unlikely to find a buckle by itself anywhere except a breakers. In which case, can you 100% definitely assert that the breaker's part hasn't been stress tested in a collision? I'll point out that it's your neck (quite possibly literally) if a used buckle fails, so do you have a £10 neck?

Looking at the part diagrams, that buckle is not available separately.

It's part of the centre seat belt.

Searching for that part no - 3T0 857 807  , shows the buckle and centre belt as one piece.

You can see the buckle isn't removable from the entire belt assembly.

Hi, thank you very much for the information, it is very much appreciated. I'll also try main dealer, they do sometimes have reasonably priced parts. Kind Regards
