CityGo auto hill hold help please

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm looking for some of your collective knowledge please!

I've have a cracking wee auto CityGo. Had it for a year now and the car hill hold function has stopped working.  For 10 months or so, the hill hold worked a charm, but it has stopped working now and I wondered if anyone knew what would be the cause?

Holding on the handbrake and pulling off that way is whats had to resort to. But the car should and has been doing it for us and all that extra manual labour is not welcome lol.

Can anyone shed some light on what to look for to fix the issue as it is actually nice to have it reinstated. Is it a manual switch/solenoid or a software issue?...

Its my wife's first car... and apparently its cute and nicer than any of mine! lol... but typically, this issue has happened at the most in-opportune time. She has her driving test in two weeks and it would be better if she had the hill hold function for the test. So I'm on a mission now to try and achieve that.

If anyone has any words of wisdom, I'd be most grateful.

Cheers

Welcome.

Sorry no idea but hopefully someone with a ASG will know, maybe having had this issue.

Personally i would say best she learns to drive and pass her Automatic test without hill hold assist working.

She might need to drive an automatic in the future without it.

?

Has your car had a Brake Fluid change at anytime, if not best have that done.

Are there any OBD error codes?
