Alloys And 312mm brakes & rear brakes

Featured Replies

Ive lowered my furball 25mm and now looking for some 17" alloys on 205/40/17 or 215/40/17. But what wheel offset iam a best going for??

Iam also thinking of going for the 312mm brakes, i understand i can keep the standard brake lines but if i wanted to get longer ones would i just buy some oct'y ones or what??

And one last question i know that improveing to bigger brakes at the back is maybe not worth it. But from a look point of view could you use the rear of the octy or The TT rear brakes like we do for the 312mm front brake set up??

Cheers in advance

Think ET37/38?

From what I've read in other threads... no.

Although I believe there is a kit floating about now, but it's not cheap! :thumbdwn:

Great upgrade, IMHO the best upgrade (Very closely follwed by the Jabba RARB) well worth the cash.

There are differences that would make it a pain in 4r53 and tbh you would not really see a great deal of benefit anyhow. Upgrade the pads if you must but id put the cash to an ARB

I think ET35-ET40 is OK for 17" wheels on the fabia, - Maybe even et30 - 35?

Ive already got the jabba anti roll bar, so if i was to get my furball remapped i need to look the brakes before i do that, and i hate the silly small brakes at the back hence why i wanted to know if i could upgrade them just to look the dogs balls more than anything but if its stupid money todo so then ill live with small silly brakes.

Trouble is the silly rear brakes do next to nothing anyway. Making them bigger and they will just rust up even quicker.
