Buying advice please 2011 Fabia- this one look any good?

Featured Replies

Afternoon folks

We need a new second car with 5 doors and am tempted with a MK2 Fabia. I like the black Monte Carlos but they seem to be 5k minimum for a half decent one.

Seen this for £3100. It's a 1.2 12v. Does it seem like a good buy?

No record of a cambelt or clutch change so assume that would be needed? Also on steels but is ok for now.

The head unit has a media button- does that mean it's Bluetooth?

Many thanks for any advice!

Does that engine have a cam belt?  Someone here will know.

Some money to spend if the advisories @ the MOT are getting addressed and not already done.

I personally don’t like the 1.2 12v have a tendency to jump timing and the timing can jump if you roll back in gear with engine off

If several keepers / drivers have not done that in 11 years / 80,000 miles then it is up to those driving now not to.  Or maybe they have and then the engine was repaired.     The thing about older cars is that we have years to learn about them.  Newer cars need years on the roads before we know if there any good as older cars.

I would be looking for a 4 cylinder engined Fabia, the 3 cylinder engine "imo" is just unbalanced and not smooth at all.........it literally is missing a cylinder!!!:notme:
