Wireless andorid auto unreliable

I've used 5 different android phones in this car and all of them have shown the same behaviour, wireless AA will work sometimes but others no matter what you do it's impossible to connect just says connection to "phone name" lost or something similar. I have also used these same phones in similar cars with AA and they have worked fine e.g. a VW T-cross. Is mine faulty? can it be updated somehow or is there some setting that could help? Does yours work? apple carplay seems fine even on an ancient 5s.

If the Kamiq is anything like my cars, the signal strength from the head unit isn't great. I can keep phone on front seat, preferably at the front of the centre console where the wireless charging slot sits and it's fine, but if I keep my phone in my pocket, a shopping bag in the boot, or say the lower door bin, the wireless system will often loose connection.

Hi thanks for your reply, it's not that for me, even if I use a cable, it sometimes refuses to connect. It feels like the android software on my skoda has issues and needs to be updated or reset but I can't find any information on how to do that.

You should be going to your dealers to book the car in for the issue.

If you bring up your software information, I maybe able to tell you if there's any firmware update available at the dealers to perform an update.

You can try to bring up some values of what's installed by holding down your menu/setup key for about 10 seconds to enter the engineering menu.

Take some pictures and post them up.
