Best plan is to get it connected to some diagnostic equipment. Those lights can be caused by many things so until you narrow it down, it's impossible to guess why.

As for tyre sensors, you don't actually have sensors in the wheels or tyres. The TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) uses the ABS sensors to compare the rotation of the four wheels to work out if you have a flat.

Hopefully you find someone local with VCDS and can get a scan performed.

They/you need to check if your battery was adapted in correct.

Looking at your picture, and it's idle revs, is your car doing a DPF regen?  If it is fine, but you might want to read soot levels soon to make sure they are working correctly (DPF regens)

It does that now and again it usually sits at 75 it done it just before after 50 miles I tried to restart car usually goes this time it stayed and engine light was on aswell I’m going to garage now see what they say thanks

Garage saying definitely a crankshaft sensor auto electrician checking it now

The insersion of the new battery could have caused a blown fuse which would produce errors. I'm not sure if all these circuits are connected to the same fuse?

Just something to check, I always start with the basics...

I’m clueless mate but mechanic changed crankshaft sensor and all seems ok no faults showing so happy days for now I’ll keep yous posted if anything else thanks again everyone

Just a update for yous crank sensor was changed no problems since

@Tonyrow it's not so clear in your post but could I ask, did your engine stop (i.e break down) when this happened?  As mine recently had a very similar show of multiple fault lights after a long journey and the engine stopped. I pulled in and then the car started fine after and hasn't done this since.

Thanks.

Looks like one of the wheel speed sensors had a 'bad hair moment' .

Worth doing a fault code scan, I reckon any related faults will be shown as intermittent.

He’s scanned it a few times no faults showing he said when they show it had glow plug light flashing also says it’s definitely not that I thought he was wrong so far crank sensor seemed to do the job

  • 2 weeks later...

Have had exactly the same problem Tony. Any more problems since replacing?
