VCDS upgrades

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have just bought a 68 reg.  Karoq SEL, one owner and extremely low mileage. . I checked with my local independent VAG Garage what service packages he had and I will be talking my Car to him when one is due.

He mentioned that while it was on the Computer that he might find facilities that are not currently enabled but that could be enabled

Does anyone know what options he might find for me and be able to turn on..

Thanks,

Keith

That’s a thought? My car has lane assist, warns when following too close etc, so surely it has all the technology and radar installed to do adaptive cruise control and follow car in front? Mine just sets speed and keeps to that.

Thanks for reply, I have been trying to find a list of optional extras for the car but with no luck. One of the things that I don't think that I have is automatic headlamp dipping so hoping that coould be installed.

I have a 2019 Karoq SEL that also doesn't have auto dipping. It was on my last 2015 Octavia SEL and I quite liked it.

It all depends on the camera you have stuck to the windscreen (by the rear view mirror). If it's the wrong camera, as mine is, then you can't just enable auto dipping.

I believe you would need a new windscreen and correct camera.

IIRC adaptive cruise needs the long range radar, the standard radar for non adaptive cars is short range so cannot be done.
