Advice requested re. symbol on infotainment system

Featured Replies

Since I updated my iPhone to iOS 16, I have been having lots of problems with Carplay and WLAN/WiFi.  I won't bother going into it all right now, but I wonder if anyone can explain the significance (or not) of the small "i" in the attached photo, between the globe and person.

Small i is usually an information available symbol, does it not display further info pop up if you touch the i

Does the car support IOS16, you have to be careful not to do an upgrade to an unsupported version

The general sybol (Globe and silhouette of a person) relates to sharing of your privacy data.

If you drag the screen down from that symbol, you will see four sharing options, with yours highlighted.

You can change the option by touching another option.

The one that you have enabled is 'No position shared' (I think) - and nothing to do with your iphone.

Thank you.  That makes sense, and ties in with my realisation after initially posting the question that it probably had nothing to do with Carplay/WLAN/Wifi.
