Fabia vRS insurance

Featured Replies

Just topped up my insuance with LV ready to swap from the TDi to the vRS.

The increase was just over

I found the insurance very good on the Fabia.

Cost us just under

I think it was finally designated group 10A, or 11A - not sure which, or either for that matter.

I'm quite chuffed with L.V at the moment, as I managed to get my post-Jabba insurance down by

Good ol' LV

Furby vRS is group 9A so I believe. I just tried LVs online quote for mine, they aren't for me - 500 quid more than my Direct Line policy!! Serves me right for a) being a young male

B) living in manchester

I guess...

Looks like no remapping for me... :-( I can't imagine DL would be full of enthusiasm at the thought...

Don't trust the online quotes. Ring them.

Yes, I agree with Rich about the online quote system for LV.

I tried it a while ago for an Octy RS and it was v. expensive, but when I phoned it was significantly cheaper.

They aren't as cheap as some, but if you want to make a couple of mods and not pay any more, LV are the way to go! :)

...now where did I put that tuning box? hmmm ;)

Hey.. your in the same boat as me :)

I had to take DL over LV because LV were coming up with over 1k when DL were at

Did you notify them of all the mods?

Yup, well all except remap as that can be removed by the flick of a switch ;)

Rather you than me .................imagine you have been involved in a serious accident (hopefully it won't happen) and you are being carried to an ambulance on a stretcher ..............how do you flick that switch then ? ...............don't be a plonker ....tell them !

Ross , you have obviously spent a lot of money on modding your car , so why not spend a bit more on your insurance , because whatever you are spending on insurance at the moment is wasted , because effectively .........you don't have any insurance .

Point taken.

Will call up insurance tomorrow and see what they say :)

Thanks for the wake up call ;)

Wow LV are expensive!

I pay 350 a year for the vRS and LV want 500 that's 150 more!!!!

I havent got the vRS modded so that dont matter, but I have spoken to them before about my MR2 (which is insured through the owners club on limited milage) and they dont like mods at all. But even so I'd give em a chance before moving insurance.

Oh well

Welcome back Ross, no hard feelings

Just make sure anyone who is taking out an insurance policy with LV, or any other company for that matter, and you have mods, tell them. There is then no way they can wriggle out of any claim and leave you with a huge repair bill, or worst a law suit.

PS. LV's online thing (I know, I should ring them) wanted 1500 big ones!

0 points' date=' 24yrs old, but only 2yrs NCB, and living in M20 (which includes some undesirable areas)

Yeah, M20 will be a biiiig problem... :)

Try NUD, at 23 with no conviction, 1 years NCB and with a pretty bad postcode they quoted me about

juvenile scum.

Rob.

Least you admit to it ;)
