L+R mirror switch

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I have one stupid question. Since I bought my Fabia the mirror switch cannot stay on R (or L for English) by itself. Is that normal because I teared it down and cannot see any broken mechsnism. Thank you.

I have a LHD Fabia and I confirm that mine too, doesn't stay on R position. It can stay on L+R (middle position) and on the defogger (bottom position). I think this is described in the user's manual but it's gone a long time since I read it.

Please note - I am not a mechanic or expert in anything.

If you have not got a paper printed copy of the Owner's Manual you can download a pdf copy from the following link. - https://manual.skoda-auto.com/004/en-com/Models

thats how they were meant to be you have to hold it on to achieve the l movement hence why the switches snap like mine has and they are not available to buy also skoda realised what a stupid switch this was and changed the switch the next year.
