Top motor mount

Featured Replies

Hi friends,

I am owner of Skoda Kodiaq 2019 2.0 TDI DSG FWD.

Due to the stain at the motor mount I have addressed to Skoda official garage.
In that moment Skoda garage has identified that the original part (which was installed by Skoda factory ) is not the part which is found in catalog for Kodiaq that I have.
I have placed change/repair on hold until I solve this doubt.

The originally installed part is 5Q0 199 262 BF (see attached picture).
Could someone confirm the claim that this part ( 5Q0 199 262 BF ) is not intended for my Kodiaq?

Could someone take a look under the hood and check the part number?

I have found that Kodiaq 2.0 TDI DSG FWD 150hp should have motor mount with part number: 3Q0 199 262 E

Any thoughts?

5Q0 199 262 BF is intended for Kodiaq with 7spd DSG on the Petrol 1.5L engines. Superseeds to 5WA199262D

3Q0 199 262 E is intended for Kodiaq with 7spd DSG on the Diesel 2.0L engines, Superseeds to 5WA199262Q

EDIT:

5Q0199262DF which is in the picture NOT BF doesnt actually exist in ETKA? Which means the factory have fitted a factory only part - which is perfectly fine. ETKA is only there for replacement parts. What they have fitted is most likely fine. And also the brown staining you are talking of is just where the rubber is bonded to the metal

BTW your picture shows the part as being 5Q0 199 262 DF (Delta Foxtrot)

That part as far I am able to tell is not legitimate, so it has been mislabelled.

5Q0 199 262 BF (Bravo Foxtrot) is as @ApertureS has mentioned, is for a 1.5l petrol with DSG, so clearly not intended for your engine.

VAG mistake, so they need to fix it FOC.

Not always a case of mislabeled or illegitimate, factory part numbers dont always match up with ETKA, the factory often will do weird and wonderful things if they are short of other parts they may fit something else that is suitable for the job or in this case put a label on a part to call it something else :D doesnt always mean its wrong, just that we have no idea what theyve done....

It would be nice if someone who works in one of the factories could say this practice occurs.

Either way, this is not in the parts catlog, so a made up number... not sure why they would even bother to print up such a thing, but who knows how the organs of a VAG factory work.

It was an observation on the OP's post that the image was BF, not DF as seen in his image.

I wonder @ppejic what has caused you to question the part, does the engine shake or rattle?

@varooom

Rumbling is heard and plastic inside the cabin resonates @1500-2000 rpm. It is much more pronounced when outside is hot or when the engine compartment is warmed up. In the same time unpleasant vibrations can be felt in gas-power pedal.
In the winter, the first 15 km are perfectly quiet. In the summer is total disaster.

Since there is a brown stain I thought that mount has leaked.... but it seams that the mount is wrong one and that rubber properties of the mount are not intended for the type of diesel engine vibrations.

At following picture is the motor mount of friends Kodiaq 2.0 DSG TDI 4x4 150 HP

3Q0 199 262 E

....yeap, I have made mistake it is DF not BF.... but it is a factory mistake anyway.

Just confirmed from Skoda factory, the part is intended for 1.5 TSI

Are they now going to swap it for correct part now?!

Battle continues :)

it seams that they have understood that wrong part was installed by workshop :)

But never the less, they have confirmed that part is wrong.

Now I just need to battle them to exchange it FOC.

  • 3 weeks later...

Have they changed it?

I am fighting Skoda to change it FOC, but it seems that I am losing the battle.

If no success, I'll change it on my cost during next regular service appointment in February

@ppejic They have replaced the mount on my 2018 2.0TDI FWD Kodiaq last week and it (finally) was the solution for the grinding noise!  See the picture with the new mount.  I don't have a picture with the old mount nr.

what part was installed before it?

Unfortunately i don't know that.   The cars was for several weeks at the garage as they tried many things (which solved 30% of the noise)   Replacing this mount was their last action and it removed the remaining 70%.
