Ive never noticed a real differeance from induction kits etc. but ive always found you get a nice sound difference and sometimes the car felt smoother thoughout the gears. The best people to ask though about whats best or not is i think Jabba sport, there good to talk to and you always know where you stand, they will prob try and talk you in to a remap too.

other car tuners are available :)

If i could talk my insureance company in to allowing a 20yr old with 180+bhp Jabba would have talked me into a remap, it was hard enough getting them to insure me with 130bhp. (plus the car being about 6month old its a bit early to talk remaps when i have 2yrs plus of the warranty i have left) Also i only said Jabba as they lowered my furball and was 110% impressed with everything.

Oh and the sound uhm, hard to explain but on the astra i had with a powerflow exhaust it just made it come alive and sound meaty, the differance was good as far as the sound went but i think i paid £90odd and i was :( with the performance side.

changing the exhaust system on a turbo car and a n/a car are two very different things.

when i got a turbo back custom system on my 1.8T it was definitly better power wise but i find it a bit too boomy at times.

i'm happy to live with the comprimise though :)

so do you personally think it was worth spending the money for the sound benefit or do you wish you had invested your money elsewhere ????

Id spend my money else where but in saying that i want a dump valve on my furby which is gunna cost about

i put a carbonio and forge eliminator on the other week. sounds really really good. makes me smile everytime. sucks like a pensioner with asthma. as for performance - not much difference, if any!!!

I would like to add my 50pence . I have had my Octy remapped by Jabba yesterday and all i can say is.... i think they have given me a different car!!!!!! Sooo much more reponse on midrange and the power is way up. I have the normal Elegance , the perfect sleeper i tell you guys i crept up on a 406 and this bloke thought OMG its a Skoda trying beat me. Needless to say i played with the poor bloke till he gave up . I live way up in the North and will have one else but Jabba touch my car from now on. The reson for this is simple , i cannot find any decent workshops up in Newcastle area.Totally professional people, so i dont care to take the day out to sort my car out. The next upgrade will be the brakes.

I've got an ABD cold air intake with a Bailey DV30 and it still makes me grin when I press the loud pedal.

Didn't have the stereo on for two weeks after fitting & I still often love driving with no tunes :D

Jabba? lulz, spend your money but spend it elsewhere lol

None of the above and save your money. You already have a cold air intake as standard.

In terms of the air filter, just go for a panel filter, the only difference between a panel & induction kit is the noise, it all depends on what you want to gain from it.

There's load of knowledge on here, when it comes to remaps there is only 2 things every Brisky member can agree on, DONT buy a cheap ebay resistor mod, they're not worth it & being on Briskoda will empty your wallet.

Use the search function and spend some time reading back through the maintenance & performance thread and also the octi1 thread and you should find most of the answers your looking for,

As this is an old thread thats been brought back to life (2006), I dont really think that Mouloncw, who has not posted anything on any of the forums since 6th Feb 2007 can now be that interested?

:rofl::rofl:

CISKA,

why go from up north to Jabba when there is RS TUNING in leeds? also AWSOME GTI near manchester?

Awsome will do pritty much anything to the car but RS Tuning are just mappers iirc.

mind each to their own..

billy

Well Billy ,

I wanted to go and see what the work shop looks like and meet the people behind the phones . And besides its better value for money , on top of that they found a faulty N75 valve , which annoys me because Skoda Walthamstow was supposed to do a full comprehensive service before i took delivery , so much for that.

And besides i like the long run , a good day out.

I have just ordered a jetex panel filter after reading good reviews, saves every paying for a new filter and is better than your standard paper filter :)

fair one mate. mor time to have funn on the way home lol
