Rear calipers. Red paint flaking off.

Featured Replies

2019 mkIII vRS. Just had a warranty claim refused by the dealer. Rear calipers are losing ALL of the nice red paint. It’s just peeling off like a snake shedding it’s skin. They said it is a harsh environment thing and might be caused by a cleaning product but I’m using the Autoglym they sold me when I bought the car and the front ones are perfect so this counters that argument. Am I wasting my time or is it worth taking up with Skoda customers service ? Thanks in advance

I think it's worth contacting Skoda customer service. It sounds to me like you've been given the standard "Tell him to go away and see if he goes away." brush off.

It might also be worth contacting another Skoda dealer to get a 2nd opinion. Indicate you're not happy with the response your dealer has given, and they might offer to help you out with a view to getting future custom from you.

Good luck!

yeah definitely take it up a level.  The paint should not be peeling off, unless someone's already re-painted them, badly

I have so much older car then yours and it is my daily driver for nearly 6 years. All calipers are red like the car was delivered yesterday.

Be persistent!
