What oil for Fabia Monte Carlo 21 plate?

Featured Replies

I've looked at the online handbook and there is no clear info on what to use, only what to use if the recommened is not avalable?

I tried doing it via my reg via Halfords and Eurocarpars but it offered nothing.

Not sure why but can anyone advise? I thought it was VW 504 00. I literally only need a 1L bottle for top ups.

My model is:

Skoda Fabia 5 Door Hatch 1.0 TSI 95 Monte Carlo DSG

Thanks in advance.

It is 0w 20 FS IV so to VW508 00 /509 00 that the car left the factory with.

That is the recommended oil by VW / Skoda for fixed or variable servicing.

So you could go to VW 504 00 / 507 00 as was used pre 2018 / WLTP  & GPFs. 5w 30 FS III or even 0w 30 FS III.  Up to you.

You might be told at Dealerships or online you are not using the Recommended Oil.

They never mention that that is for Variable Servicing and they do not show for fixed that it can still be VW502 00 so 5w 40 FS.

(do not mix specs.) Except in an emergency.
